Colour Schemes
Colour Schemes
I have seen many people do this, but I am still at a loss of what to do. How do you recolour DLC schemes? I have the Word Bearer's DLC, but whenever I recolour it, I need to create a new colour scheme and it reverts back to the retail chaos style. How can I keep the visual styles?

Re: Colour Schemes
Go into your Dawn of war II - Retribution folder.
steam / steamapps / common / dawn of war ii - retribution
I think.
from there you go to
ELITE_beta / Data / config
there you'll find a LUA file called
defaultchaptercolours
just open it with some word programm, like WordPad or MicrosoftWord or whatever
look for your DLC in it ( with Alt-F you can open the searchbar )
will look somewhat like this
chapterKeyName = "Chaos_WordBearers_DLC",
primaryColourName = "Red Gore",
secondaryColourName = "Mithril Silver",
tintColourName = "Mechrite Red",
extraColourName = "Dark Angels Green",
Just replace the names of the colours and save again.

Re: Colour Schemes
I suppose isn't neccessary, but I suggest make first a backup of the archives which are going to be edited.

Re: Colour Schemes
given that you can always validate it's not necessary. personal decision and generally good practice though.
Re: Colour Schemes
These config files you can just delete and they will be replaced on starting the game.
