Dawn of War Codex

So of course I can mod retail skins and make my entire IG army look like the Death Korps. However I have a problem when I try to do this on elite. I do it on elite via the elite section of the steam common area, but guardsmen and the lord general don't receive the death korps custom skin because they have been edited via the mod since retail, so the general just has his bear skin look and the GM look normal, but my catachans/storms/ogryns go krieg mode.

Is it possible for me to change the way individual units look, if so would anybody be kind enough to help me with this process please?
