Losing doesn't hurt, (in the long run) Winning is pleasurable (in the short run) = Might as well play in tournaments.

Well thanks for the encouragement! I'll probably join the one in March and see how it goes. I still need to improve a bunch to play near that level though. Especially because I'm really only comfortable playing with CL or warboss... Need to start getting out of my comfort zone 0_o

I'm in the same zone at the moment. I'm too comfortable where I am and don't play enough 1v1's to try and join the MRTs. That and I only play IG (inquis/commi), Ork (wb/Kommando) and chaos (PC and a little CL).

I am however, waiting to see a tourney for 2's in the future - though I have no idea who would be willing to pair :p

Well many high lvl 1v1 and team game players usually had their one or two strong heroes they favored in tournament games. I don't doubt that they dabbled a bit with other races and heroes but most had pretty clear main race(s)/hero(es)

Heres a work in progress guide for Beginners tournaments and their journey into Ladder.

This may help the beginner tournaments be less one sided and mean prizes are more valued. It also helps stratify appropriate prize value for other tournaments.
