Help installing the mod

I tried installing the Elite mod with the new 2.1 beta patch. I used the auto installer and then changed the launch option of retribution in steam. When i open the game using the shortcut made by the autoinstaller the game just won't run. When i remove the "-modname ELITE" parameter in the launch option the game would run but there is no sign of the mod being activated.... Does anyone know the problem?
Can anyone help me please?

-nomovies -modname ELITE -dev
not sure the -nomovies is necessary.
if you ever have to completely reinstall it again you can always copy it from the shortcut it creates on the desktop.

It may also have something to do with what it says in the properties of the custom shortcut the installer makes. Make sure the path is right etc.

the "-nomovies" just removes the Intro videos, whitch can be quite anoying ... but its not neccessary to turn them off.
you also can add the parameters in steam itself by rightklicking the game in the library and open the game propertys.
sorry if the names for it are not 100% correct. i have got the german version of Steam

I checked and my parameters are correct.

May i ask what properties should the shortcut have?
I think this has something to do with my steamapps folder not located inside the steam's installation folder.... I read about someone having the same issue as i am and he mentioned that his steamapps folder is found at a different partition of his hard disk, the same as i am.

1. The Elite installer finds your Steam installation and assumes steamapps > common > dawn of war ii - retribution from there, so you would have to fix your desktop shortcut so it points wherever your DoW2 is.
2. Why would your steamapps folder not be under the Steam folder?
3. If you set the launch options in your Steam library, it should work regardless of installation folders or shortcuts. So either you have a mistake or there is something wrong with your game/Steam.
