Common Multiplayer maps

I want to start dipping my hands in multiplayer and I want to familiarize myself with controls and the maps. Are there any maps that people tend to prefer in multiplayer?

Try watching Indrids casts on YouTube. They cover the most played maps, and you'll get a feel for how people play in pvp.

You can check the stats on map popularity here for 1v1 at least. Not 2s/3s and some of the newer ones haven't been updated yet.
