This is when i feel grateful that we have a Codex.

I want to see what they changed and added, but it seems that i can't without installing the mod and find out in person.

Good shout! I made a similar thread because I think that Elite and DoWPro share many similar aspects, good to see I'm not alone. :)

As for a complete changelog, I'd hunt around this site: http://z15.invisionfree.com/DoWpro/inde ... 7a0e9c6c9&

IIRC there's a changelog in the download. I may be mistaken though

Been years since I tried DC/SS Pro and that other polished mod (forget the name) but IIRC they come with very detailed documentation and stats databases.

Anyway if there was sufficient retro interest maybe we could throw a one-time Pro tournament? Are any of our casters interested?

If none of the usual casters are interested, I'll throw my name in, given that I've still been playing DoW1 all this time and am still well acquainted with the gameplay.

I wouldn't be a good candidate to participate in the tourney, given my current internet connection (which is why you don't see me joining Elite games either), but this I can do once I get the replays.

Would really love it if this were to go ahead, haven't really seen competitive DoW1 mp since the days when Vaul hosted his random-race tournament YEARS ago. I'm also very interested in seeing how the revamped SoB faction fare competitively, they were always kind of 'meh' back in vanilla SS.

Turns out that I am one of them (well, the only one, perhaps) who activelly is updating the mod and giving a damn about. But I am not offended.

Anyways, even though this is just but a mere shameful bumping, I would like to see if there would be some activity regarding the mod. This weekend a new version will be released so I will probably start up the engine around the Steam Group (which I finally have Admin status) to run games, answer questions and whatnots. Also, shoutcasts are pretty much welcome!. I would apreciate it a lot!.

For anything else, you know where to contact me j/k.

Cheers!.

Also hi Jazz!.

Dont worry for it Lul, I got that covered. Right now there is invision free and Mod DB, which are just more than enough to provide enough info and stuff from there, I suppouse its fine as it is.

Any new ideas are welcome and subject to contemplate, though.

The steam group's back in track, it seems, now that Hollow has finally been handed the reigns:

Looking forward to seeing activity in this community again :)

I play it some. Id play it more if i could find multiplier games on it.

But can i ask to be able to zoom out a bit? I feel like my nose brushes the trees when i pan over them.

There's a generic zoom mod for DoW1 isn't there

Don't you just actually click somewhere in the installer to actually, well install the advancedzoom mod as well?

I believe brother Caeltos is correct.

That's set to improve. The steam group has only really become active again now, and that would be the best place to get some games going.

There is a Camera Mod from the 3.59 installer, thing is you need to browse from the options and tick it accordingly as Caeltos said. Though I think there is a better version which has a proper zoom for it?.

Anyways, just a little bit more and the new version will be up. For those interested it is recommended to make a clean install with 3.59.

I have to warn you however that I spotted a nasty issue regarding the Expanded Soundtrack option and 3.59.58; which seems to include a track that was not intended to work (the Relic/Iron Lore credits sequence) that sounds in the middle of the battle.

So if you dont want your immersion ruined, it is NOT RECCOMMENDED to select the Expanded Soundtrack.

Shameless bump. A beginners tournament has just been set up; if you are interested to check that out for shits and giggles and have a good time, get into the Steam Group or the invisionfree forum for more info.

Cheers!.
