Interested in video guides?

I've been slowly building dow2 videos lately. The first one will be a guide about the cover mechanism (mainly aimed to new players but fairly accurate). It'll be up on GR.
But since there's a lot more players checking this forum I'm asking you : what subject would you like me to talk about? It can be as simple as cover or as intricate as how to retreat kill with autarch drop =)
I've already put some thought into replay analysis, coming in a week or 2.

Perhaps one on analyzing retreat timings would be nice. Or like general retreat mechanics, like tracing retreat paths and stuff so beginners won't have to accrue countless retreat losses and can think about them ahead of time

Maybe it's just me but I've been seeing more new players in ELITE lately. What you're doing here is good work.
Personally, I'd suggest something as simple as the basics of cover before going into advanced stuff like micro-ing and kill combos etc.

Well, why don't we turn it into a suggestion thread? I think that something I would want to see is something like what damage types to waht to who, because most beginners to the game will to lean towards the shootiest or choppiest units and not go for something that actually uses for example power melee vs SM.

Your ideas sound good. I suppose I could do a poll to collect opinions if there's enough people voting.

I would like to see a 1v1 guide about mapcontroll, aka where should I send my units, what should I cap, when should i fight when should I blob, when should I run, when should I retreat

But that is probably to advanced for beginners.
But for me it would be perfect^^ Maybe show it while analyzing a top level 1v1 replay?

If you want I can help you out with stuff, I wanted to do videos like this too, but then got busy with school, work, and other stuff so I never continued.
I made a video of the Painboy, who was newly added to the mod.
If you want to see you can check here, maybe you can get some ideas from it too ^^:

Might be cool to have guides dedicated to individual commanders, showing the cool things you can do with each wargear.

Individual hero guides would be good. It seems the two of you have a lot requested.

Map control basics would be awesome.
Not too situational to discredit any attempt to create a general guide on it, with possibilities to be in-depth enough to be something one can't find and read up on wiki.
Another idea is to make a video on stuff like
basic combat guide. By the way, is it just me or there were a version remade specifically for Elite site recently or something to that effect?

Ähem yeah, sry but I need a video to learn it.

Sounds all nice and fun in theory, but doesn't really help me.

I think a great guide to do would be for "grenade usage".
A list of points you could follow would be:
-spiking
-positioning for retreat nading
-grenade combos
-guess/spread throws
-fake throw stalling

Is there actually any beginner players whom are - evidently - benefiting from this?
I am just curious to hear their pov.
In my experience, I think live-analysis focused on education - and having a few mentors to go can be - empowering.
For people here who have been playing - what actually worked for you?
I think I improved because:
1.Codex was a great teacher.
2. I stuck to just 1 or 2 basic strategies.
3. I had a balance between progressive/challenging games and playing more nooby gamers.
4. I became committed to a hero I liked.
5. Players I lost too were supportive/gave useful comments.

Absolutely agree Unconscious. Those pov's from Codex, even if I don't play Eldar, are very helpful. Along with all those other factors. I started with just apo, and now I'm focusing on just three heroes because of the format of the tournaments.
