i was wondering what the average age of the community is i myself am fairly new to the community but ever since i downloaded the elite mod i´ve been having a lot of fun playing it but i have the feeling that I´m quite young in comparison to the community
(I´m 17 years old)

Well, the mod was launched in May 2011 I think, so that has been live since then, but the forums themselves have been up since around Febuary 2013.

I think you missed the context of the question. I believe he is talking about the age of the community members themselves, not the actual age of community as an entity itself :p

Also, 24.

I started, at the beginning of this year, to watching Elite games as a substitute to Starcraft 2, which i never played but i watched as an E-Sport since the WoL beta.

I started to realize how bad was SC2 compared to DoW2 and i switched, since the first was dying anyway. Elite was the obvious choice, as is the only active community that create a constant flux of videos to entertain me.

After a while i bought the game on sale and start playing.
I still am more of a spectator than a player, but it's the first time i actually have the same fun in playing and watching.

I'm 27.

i also enjoyed sc2 quite a lot but i never was really good at it because i could not devide my attention over the economical, constructional and the fighting parts. that's why i also don't share the populair opinion that base building should come back to DOW

Turned 24 a couple months back. And yes Max, you are da grumpy old fart... Not sure about the smelly part but I trust you on that one.

Also, you can buddy up with Tex and form some sort of senior citizen sub community.

Complying with ESRB and PEGI is akin to reading the 'terms and condition'.

I just don't bother ^^

21, soon to turn 22. Since we're happy to look under this particular rock :D

And don't worry Max, the replies so far are a very small sample of a much larger community. It gives no accurate indication of the average age.

(...yet.)
