Hey, there, fine folks of the forums.

I've genuinely just made this account to post this, and I'm about to head to bed because I've been working at this for a few hours now, without any luck. Hopefully I come back to some advice!

The basics of it is: this all started when I simply wanted to use the Tau Commander's T'au Sept badge for the Imperial Guard, as I wanted to create a Gue'vesa scheme for fun.

Little did I know, wanting to do this "little thing for fun" would lead me down a rabbit hole involving me fiddling with various mod tools and files in an attempt to gain access to the badge's file, but it has continued to elude me.

If someone here could perhaps, guide me through the process of gaining access to the folder in which the game's base Badge files are located, or some way to allow the Imperial Guard to access the Tau faction's badge pool, or even just provide the file itself and get this over with, it would be greatly appreciated.

You posted in the right section. Sorry to say this but if you look at past from posts in this section, there are a ton of them that went by unanswered. And reposting this multiple times will not be allowed. However, you were fortunate because I think I found the right guide on Steam.

It's in the Data\art\badges\units folder, which is located in a .sga archive. You'll have to extract it from the 003_data.sga file in the GameAssets\Archives folder.

Aaand... that did it!

I wish I had known to do something like that last night, but I'm not exactly well versed in this sort of thing.
