Kasrkin Melta Guns

Hi guys, I'm still quite new to the Elite mod, but it seems in gams where my enemy gets some vehicles, (even something like a deff dread) and I get a Kasrkin, and upgrade him with Melta Guns, they feel useless! They barely ever shoot, and it replaces 2 of my hell guns with Melta guns which aren't even that good against vehicles IMO. (Yes, I get the weapon upgrade for the Kasrkin)

I'm not saying they are underpowered or anything, but I want to ask what you guys think of them.

They are pointless, not because they don't do damage but simply because AV, outside of the grenade isn't their role at all plus there is also the rest of the great and cheaper AV IG has.

As it's been said above, far better squads for much more effective use of your req and power. Another problem stems from the fact that kasr act very much like glass cannons, and particularly excel at long ranged combat - their hellguns default range goes for 40. Getting the melta effectively halves that distance and you typically don't want them up that close.

If you really want melta's, stick to storms. They've got infiltration as well as the melta bomb - which is far superior in terms of ensuring you get the "stick" in comparison to the kasr's krak. They're also significantly cheaper to reinforce, costing only 40/0 compared to a kasr's 45/5.

Yeah, it's just sometimes I think that it might help with an ongoing heavy vehicle build, I guess I'll s tick to stormtroopers with Meltas.

I also have this big fear of getting the Kasrkin different weapons :l, I really like their hell guns and don't want to replace them with something that might weaken them. I guess Plasma guns and Nade launchers might be okay.

I very very rarely get a weapon upgrade on them. Their hellguns are brilliant, not really because of the dps, but rather the short burst time and the range they have.
Lets make Ordo Malleus great again!

Stick with the Hellguns - fantastic against heroes and do such high dps they're also good retreat killers. Get them in pairs and its pfff.

Exception being if you need to kill Terminators/GUO/Ava, in which case get plasma guns.

I really like the Grenade launchers too now (from the two times I've got them, lulz).
