Monthly Rumble Tournament!
(On behalf of Eerie)
Hello there folks and welcome to the Monthly Rumble Tournament!
I'm Eerie and I'll be hosting a regular series of tournaments
open to any DoW II Elite player out there. All you need is the
latest version of the Elite Mod and the will to play your best.
So, when will that happen?
The tournament would start on Sunday June 30th 2013 at 17:00 GMT.
Next one would take place on the last sunday of July, then August and so on.
This will be a 1v1 tournament, whith an option to change the mode between 1v1,
2v2 and 3v3 if the community would like to see that (possibly decided via a poll).
Matches will be played as Bo3 from the first round to the finals.
This tournament will be played with the newest stable version of the Elite mod.
Will there be any reward?
Yes! The first place winner will receive 20 euro. It is up to him/her,
how will he receive those (paypal, moneybookers, or perhaps you want some steam
games bought?).
Any donations are welcome!
How do I get in?
All info regarding registery is placed here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=99
Be present in the group chat on the day of the tournament for as long as you are in the running
and be there at least 15 minutes before the tournaments starts.
The sign ups will end two days before the start of the tournament.
Ok, so what are the rules?
Host Settings:
Victory point control: 500 VPS
Random starting location
Standard resources
Maps:
The first round of a match will always be a fixed map as shown in the brackets on Binary Beast.
The rounds that follow will be loser's choice.
No map can be played more than once within a match.
The map pool:
Calderis Refinery
Green Tooth Gorge
Judgement of Carrion
Quests Heresy
Fedrid Folly
Siwal Frontier
Green Tooth Jungle Redux
Ice Station Obelis
Race Picks:
While registering for the tournament, a player must pick 3 commanders that he
will be playing in the tournament, but can't pick anything beside them.
Player can pick any one of those 3 commanders at any time and must let the
other player know, what his pick is.The player in the top bracket will lock in his race first
for the first round. In the following rounds the player that chose the map has to lock into their race first.
Observers:
No observers allowed besides referees or streamers.
Results:
Both parties are responsible for entering the correct results.
Replays have to be saved by both parties.
The winner will upload the replays to Binary Beast in the proper location.
If for some reason Binary Beast doesn't allow you to upload, contact me immedietly.
Disconnections:
When a game ends before victory points run out or one of the 2 players concede, 2 things can happen:
Either the players agree on a winner or agree to replay.
If the players don't come to an agreement a referee will make the decision after watching the replay.
And that will be final. No discussing with the referee so the tournament can go on as smoothly as possible.
General Rules:
The Tyranids Capillary Towers are prohibited from being spawned on impassable terrain.
(Making them unkillable).
Be respectful. Inappropriate or disrespectful behavior will result in disqualification or other disciplinary actions as the referees see fit.
If you have any additional questions, you can contact me on steam (Eerie) or write your thoughts down here in the forum thread.
Community help:
About the refs:
Any volunteer referee's are welcome. Just let me know via steam.
What should refs do?
Be in the tournament chat room some time before the tournament starts.
Help people find their opponents.
Resolve disputes between players after watching the replays.
Referees can not play in the tournament (with exception of eliminated players when the lack of referees would occure).
Streamers:
Every streamer out there is welcome to cast the games they want. All I ask is not to crowd a lobby with a couple of streamers
at a time. 2 per game will be the limit.
Special thanks to: Indrid, Floid, Dark Riku and Codex for helping me put things together.
Should any changes or important news occure, I'll keep you updated within forum threads concerning the tournament!
Stay tuned for more! Good luck and have fun everyone!
