My game constantly crashes whenever i update it

Whenever I get the latest version of Elite I need to test it to see if it will crash.It usually crashed at the 20 min mark,and the only way of fixing it is to re-install Retribution and lose all of my replays,army skins etc...

Any ideas how I can fix this without having to re-install?

Have you tried just to verify your game cache ? Right clickonyour game
in your steamlibrary and check for missing / damaged files,and replacing them.

I'll do that next patch,when i re-installed now I checked the cache and it says it's all good.I'll message you if I still get this problem even when I replace the damaged and/or
missing folders.
