Making Maps

Postby ChrisNihilus » Fri 20 Jun, 2014 8:18 pm

So, i have the coolest idea for a map (for me at least)

I never tried to make one.

How much time it will take me to learn and make it?

Same here, I have had some nice (to my twisted mind anyway) ideas, but I need to learn how to make the map itself.

The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

It's not difficult to learn, it just takes longer than people might think to make a detailed and polished map. Be prepared for criticism and to sink a lot of time into it.

Grab LondonDuncan's guide which helps a lot at the start. Ignore the "the WorldBuilder doesn't work at the moment and you need to get this fix" part near the start as that's not the case any more.

My thanks Indrid, a tome that I shall pore over and steal it's secrets so that my masterful creations may be given life, or in this case ground.
