What do you do against triple Strike Squads and triple GL IST in a lane with a VP, power and 2 natural reqs?

I just had one of the most stupid games against beginner players but all he did was aim for the power with his massive blob of death. Vehicles would provide an answer but I knew that he could just get Psycannons up. I had double GM, double cats and spotters, but I knew that competing against such a heavy tier 1 was stupid. What answers does the IG arsenal have as IQ?

GK are stupid in 3 v 3 games and I understand why so many games have noGK in them. Am I just talking as a beginner, or do the GK in 3 v 3 games seem easy to use and slightly OP. or is it just a terrible match up for IG?

Lol wut.
That means the GK player is investing at minimum 2095 requisition and 60 power to get his initial T1 up.

Just grab a couple squads of Arty Spotters and a HWT and tech to T2. you can shell his ranged blob to make it next to useless all through T1. Then a fast vehicle has no good response from that kind of build. SS psycannons are expensive and cost ineffective as AV and once you get plasma GM squads you'll start bleeding him to hell.

Quoting for effect.

You should be in T2 WAYYYYY before he even gets close to it. Use that tech advantage.

Depending on how good his micro was, a Manticore or two would absolutely thrash his army. Chimera supporting plasma guardsmen is also a possibility so long as they aren't too bunched up to minimize the grenade launcher damage. Given the sheer weight of his T1, I don't think psycannon spam would be too big a concern, and by the time he fully kits out his army (if he went for that) you'd most likely have a big tech advantage and start fielding tanks/Kasrkin. IST and Strikes with psycannons can't do too much against those.

That is a lot of guys in T1, and it would take him some time to get there. In that situation I would just get a spotter team and try to make life as miserable as possible for his blob (it won't be easy for you either) until you reach T2. If he is upgrading those units he will be way down on power and not make it to T2 any time soon.
