Cannot open SGA files with SGA reader 2

Postby Swift » Wed 30 Nov, 2016 2:29 pm

When I open the SGA reader to extract the Relic maps and want to preview the files in the sga, I get this error:

Image

Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

The error reads this:

Code: Select all

.\frmFileStoreViewer.cpp line 309: Error loading file
.\frmAttribPreview.cpp line 97: Cannot load file as RBF data
.\rbf_attrib.cpp line 49: Error loading RBF header
.\rbf_attrib.cpp line 47: Invalid RBF signature (䅟䍒䥈䕖)
The internal battery has run dry, the game can now be played. However, clock based events will no longer occur.

It's failing because it doesn't recognize a rbf header as it's no rbf but an sga archive. You probably want to open it directly (ctrl+o) instead and go from there.

Sometimes it happens to me as well, it might be related with compability issues since it hasn't been updated in years.

Tried that, it just comes up with an empty folder. Is there any way to change how it reads the file, i.e. as an SGA rather than RBF?

Turns out in my ineptitude I forgot how to use the thing, so no issue here :?
