Oh, I like the Knights, love them in fact, but they are basicly just a poor-man's titan.
- but the DreadKnight is pretty much a Dreadnought.
But better.
In pretty much every way.
Based on technology // designs we've never seen anything like it befor.
Dreads were allways the best, and biggest motherf**kers the Space Marines had. Walking miniature versions of the golden throne, kept for the most honorable the Empire had to offer. You not only had to be a veteran of centuries, you also had to "earn" the "honour" by "dieing" an incredible badass death,
Now turns out theres a Powerlifter you can just hop into with motorics so superior and advanced, its basicly an Eldar Wraithlord.
In the meanwhile Dreadnoughts who have their controlls literally pluged into their open brains get a box with arms so unwieldy that they cant do ANYTHING without a techmarine.
We had similar machines befor, the Pentient Engine or Inquisitor Karamasow's Throne ( or in extend, the Knights). But those were all based on the established Titan, Dreadnought and Sentinel designs, and fittet into the bigger picture.
With the introduction of the Dreadknight the image of the Imperiums technological possibilities ( and its asthetics ) got screwed, bigtime.
