Someone good help me with Chaos as IG MU please

After getting better and resolving my issues with Eldar (thanks to all those who helped it has become a lot easier for me now) I'm now onto Chaos. It seems that they dominate the MU with IG; they seem to have answers for every IG tactic and raise many questions themselves that IG struggle to answer. The main issues are Shrines, Worship, Noise Marines, and the missile launcher on the dread.

Firstly, against Sorc, I am seeing lots of havocs and Noise Marines. The latter is the biggest problem as going hwt isn't viable due to the sorc's teleporting wargear. Between that and the infiltrating worship I'm finding it extremely difficult to stay in the field and protect gens. The noise marines all to often just walk there way across the map bit by bit.

Speaking of worship, the PC's regeneration makes it difficult in the same way as the apo does. IG succeed by bleeding the enemy and winning the war of attrition, and this is prevented by the constant healing. Chaos can stay in the field and be very difficult to bleed and force off. Apparently they are supposed to be the worst race for eco and mobility but in this instance they supersede IG. On a side note, Noxious Cloud, wtf, insta retreat or wipe for GM. I hear people say 'just move around it' but it lasts for so long and you lose firepower/ground/your defensive lines when you start running. If you do manage to avoid it (and its hard to see most of the time before its too late) the Chaos army is there to capitalise on your lack of structure.

And the dread's missile launcher? I in my nooby ignorance dare ask how it is not considered imba/OP. It shuts down my entire army as it does good damage it vehicles and the ability suppresses and does what to me is FAR TOO MUCH damage to my infantry. Even the normal shots do quite a fair bit against inf for an AV weapon. I thought it was OP since retail when I was a noob and even as I have got better I still think the same, despite being able to do better against it.

Chaos Lord is probably the best MU for IG of the 3 heroes but still abilities like let the galaxy burn naturally give lots of trouble.

PLEASE HELP.

Anything would be much appreciated, from build suggestions to tactical or strategic advice.

Havocs and NM.
Usually, it's rare for you to see 2 of these guys on the field from the same Chaos Player since they usually get 1 or the other. The thing about Havocs is how they auto suppress your IG blob and make it easier for follow up combo's. To counter Havocs, I strongly recommend that your T1.5 unit purchase be Spotters instead of Catachans or HWT. Just use smoke shell on the Havocs and Focus Fire on him. If any other units would like to have a word with your Guardsmen, just use Sentinel stomp. Once your LC is in melee with the Havocs, let your IG army Focus Fire the rest of the chaos stuff.

For Noise Marines, you have 2 ways to counter this. HotW before tying them up as the Inquisitor or just activating the shield on LC and simply luring them to your IG army considering a NM's short range. Their Cacophany does Weapon Knockback. Force Shield of all kind negate that IIRC.

Chaos Lord. Chimeras. That's how I counter LtGB. Hell, if need be, I'll even get Ogryns so that he'll be forced between either using Kill the Weak or Let the Galaxy Burn on my GM. I know this is easier said than done but avoid blobbing vs Chaos Lord when he has Armour of the Inferno. And don't attack him when you have to go through a narrow area to reach him such as staircases. It's here LtGB owns.

Chaos Sorcerer. He rapes quantity bases armies with Doombolts, Warpfire, Curse of Tzeetch. Come T3 his subjugation is even there because Sorcerer. To counter a Sorcerer teleporting NM and Havocs around the field, Focus Fire all off your stuff onto the Sorc while your Hero ties up any set-up or NM unit. Sorcerer ain't the tankiest of the Chaos Heroes and will easily go down. Remember to use your sentinel stomps if any Chaos stuff get too close. Always treat Sorcerer as a walking bomb when fighting him. In other words, don't blob up. Just spread out your unit and Micro your Sentinel well. I counter Sorc Doombolt by putting 2 of my GM on the Sorc Left and Right side with the Sentinel in the middle of my 2 GM to stomp any Chaos stuff trying to melee my units.

Either way, for both cases, get Catachans if possible. They make life easier as they make Chaos think twice before entering melee. Use Ol'Reliable on Sorc, Blobbed Range, GL tics or NM.(Not set-up teams as it means your Hero needs to travel a longer distance). Don't forgot about using some of he abilities that the wargear unlocks on your Commanders as well. Holy Brazier, Power Sword, Carapace Armour... They all posses an ability or trait that makes it easier for your Commanders to do some damage to their set-up teams or NM.

Dread Missile Launcher. If they aren't any Sorcerers on the field, get Lascannon with their Shield up. If there are, get Melta Stormtroopers and a Heavy Melee or Melta damage based wargear for your Commander. Move your Stormtroopers away from your IG blob and wait for him to begin the animation when he does the Missile Barrage ability thing. Once he does that, infiltrate and throw a Melta Bomb. Then let your Stormtroopers go to town. Just don't forget to disrupt the rest of the Chaos Army with either an Ol'Reliable or Smoke Shell. Sentinel Krak Missile can also do some damage if you can draw attention away from it.

Spotters with inq if needed and get her T1 shield + holy brazier, and that will easily deal with NM/csm

Catas + nade launcher and sargent for the medipack, with this combo havoks are 100% dead, weaken them abit with the grenade launcher then use ol'realiable and rush in with the nade launcher buff, unless he manages to slow you with tics explosion there is no way for the havoks to survive, and overall this will easily deal with NM/CSM/hero etc, plus your hero will be very fast and will be able to tie up a unit of it's choice, and since this buff can be extended to your whole army it will be very easy to avoid AoE.

There rest is up on how you use your double sents/gm.

I can't see how you could then deal with GL tics or raptors... or havoks or noise.... or sorceror...

Unless you went 3 gm hwt catas but thats pretty heavy and then things like worship get you.

I never even got my chance to face nem in lg mirror either, he quit the game when I was just getting any good.
