I know it's not possible on the normal DLC's and on the Elite schemes right now.
But would it be possible for you guys to make it so that we can put our own custom badges on the Elite Mod DLC's?
Would be much appreciated ^^

No, but try this:

1. Make your custom badge
2. Save it as a .png file in the proper size (no larger than 128x128)
3. Save it to Dawn of War II Retribution > Elite > Data > Art > Badges > units
4. Open 'Dawn of War II Retribution > Elite > Data > config > defaultchaptercolors.lua' and find the Chapter you want to change (do a control + f for the title in game when choosing army scheme).
5. Change the 'badge1Tex' equal to the file name of the icon you want. For example, if you have a file called Blood_angels.png, set badge1Tex = "Blood_angels",

That should do it, and it won't mess with the game. I wouldn't recommend it on Vostroyan though, the badges end up in weird places.

His problem is I believe that other people can't see the custom badges. It was the same deal with Relic's DLC schemes, the custom badges are not sent to other players. I think that's what he's talking about anyway.

Perhaps people could submit the badges they want so they are then included and therefore visible? Also are all the hanger8 badges included in the mod? I think some of the new army painter colours were so maybe they could be too.

Yeah, there are a bunch of h8 badges in the badges > units folder.

Are you sure you did everything right? I tried it and it worked. Added a chainsword icon

I had my badge in C:\Users\Riku\Documents\my games\dawn of war ii - retribution\Badges
Did you try it out in MP? Can the other player see your badge? (I'll PM you )

Right folder as you could see my badge ingame ^^ (normal custom scheme). And I couldn't see yours sadly

Yeah, looks like it doesn't work in multiplayer.

So unless an other solution is found. Where can I send my badge to Sterling?

Stupid question, is it possible to change the colours of the recent DLCs like you can do with relic official DLCs?

In my experience, same as for retail, i.e. recolouring the DLC works for "everybody" in that everyone gets to see your recolouring, BUT custom badges only affects what YOU see (plus it's a global replacement, i.e. since I am using a custom badge for my Ulthwe DLC, I see my custom badge (instead of the Ulthwe Isha's Eye/Tear) on *every* unit in the game, from any player, who is playing as Ulthwe.

Did you try it out with someone? What do they see?
Because custom badges definitely work for "everyone" on custom colour schemes.

do you mean for the non-recolouring-a-DLC custom colour schemes? those (as always) work fine for me in that the custom badges are propagated to every player in the match, but for recoloured-DLCs, what everyone other than myself sees is the "official" badge, i.e. I'll see my custom badge, but everyone else in the game sees the standard Ulthwe DLC badge (Tears of Isha). Unless something is terribly wrong with my install, this has been the case since retail, and hasn't been changed by the Elite mod.

Okay, so bottom line is that it doesn't work

Is anything changed with custom badges for Elite/DLC skins through these years, are they visible to other players now? If not, is there any hope for it to ever happen?
