Dawn of War Codex

I decided to come back to Elite after several months of not playing, and I'm assuming I installed the newest patch wrong because the game is stuck on the initial "preparing to launch" screen. I don't want to have to re-install retribution, but Idk exactly how to uninstall Elite only. Is it even possible?

Where did it install to? Do you have multiple drives? A bit more info please

It was installed to the default path, and DOW runs through steam (not sure if it runs anywhere else, but it might be important). I have a single drive, and it none of the installs of DOW are working, and they wont un-install when I try to un-install them. I'm running windows 7 64 bit and have a fairly beefy system for the lifting that this game requires.

Make sure you have run the retail game first. The mod won't run if you haven't loaded the game at least once before hand.

You can uninstall Elite Mod by simply deleting the files. Entire Elite folder, Elite.module and Elite.ucs

How long did you wait for the "Prepare to launch" window? Sometimes mine just takes a really long time to get past this before it finally launches. Really long as in several minutes.

I've had the game installed for a while now, having played a fair bit of vanilla before discovering Elite. I think the problem stems mostly from the fact that the game itself might be messed up, as evidenced by the fact that they will not uninstall. I'm exploring this avenue right now. BTW Love the casts, keep it up dude.

A little further information. It seems that there was a update to the base game in may, which I did not install before I installed the updated Elite mod. Perhaps this screwed everything up. I'm just re-installing the game.

And as far as how long I waited I left it open for maybe half an hour.
