The fps drop below 0 after a couple of minutes in a battle, i already put everything on low.
I can play vanilla Retribution on Ultra, so whats the matter? Elite cant be that much more demanding.
Thanks in advance,
Teutone

Sounds like something is broken. Which maps are you playing on? Max Power maps lag because he splats all over them.

Also the permanent corpses add quite some load, what are your PCs specs?

Mhh, that's weird, you pc is good and shouldn't have those kind of troubles, does this happen always and on all maps?

Only on multiplayer and mostly on 2v2s or more. But even 1v1s get laggy sooner or later. Especially on custom maps.

So you tried against bots and it works fine?
Where are you from? You might have been unluckly and got into laggy matches, but that's either a connectivity problem or someone else PC.

Yeah. Works fine against bots.
Im from germany. But it isnt a internet-thing, because my mouse freezes for 1-2 seconds too. I did watch on the Task-Manager, there were lagspikes on one CPU while all other cores were nearly unused.

Very weird, I really can't think of a solution beside trying to reinstall the mod although I doubt that has anything to do with your CPU spiking, the last question I can think of is... have you noticed any coincidence when you start lagging?

No. Maybe theres a way to tell DoW to use all (or at least more than one) cores?
Im not that into the whole computer-thingy

the game is 32bit and wasn't coded for multiple cores.
do you have anything else running, intentionally or not, that could be using CPU power?

I think, deactivating my antivira fixed it. Still testing. Thanks for your help anyways

Okay, i got the performance-thing fixed, now i still have issues with my ping. But thats also with vanilla. It jumps up and down, minimum around 80ms maximum around 10000 (for very short time)
My firewall is off, maybe its something with the router?
