Varied Seer Council members (just a suggestion)

So this is an idea I had, not something I am making right now or planning to ever make myself.

Simply put, I think the members of the seer council look too uniformed and identical, and, for purely aesthetic reasons, I would love it if they would have varied models, like the Sternguard or Vanguard, but without actually changing anything other than their visuals. This could also help them look more distinct from the warlock hero, to avoid confusion.

What kind of models should they have, then?
Simple. 3 or 2 of the models with witchblades (like the standard hero warlock) instead of the singing spears. The helmets could also be switched around.

I'm not someone who is exactly proficient in modding, but there's a few problems I could imagine in this: the elite schemes overriding stuff, as well as the witchblades acting differently in terms of attack speed (Don't they attack faster? Not sure). But I don't know how easy or complicated those problems are.

Again, I am not volunteering for actually doing something. I am just throwing ideas that I would feel like could make the mod better. In this case, better in the way one of the units looks.

I dont know much about modding. But i guess it wouldnt be that hard to implement what your saying. I assume the cosmetic and effects are attatched to the ability/ weapon, not the other way around. Which should mean the cosmetics and fx are independant stand alone, but used by the other stuff.

Technically, it wouldn't be that hard to implement in the code. It's already done for Paladins and Vanguard Veterans.

Actually I like the Spears. They look scary I mean. But putting swords insted of spears might effect their performance since swords and spears have different special attacks if I don't remember wrong.

But, since we only want a visual change, we can throw some stuff here. I hear that SeerC. actaully has at least 2 Farseers in the squad. What if we have 2 Farseers with Ghosthelm models and carrying swords? Or they can continue with Spears since Farseer already can equip Singing Spear. You have a nice idea.

I think it would be cool if they looked all a bit diffrent! (But they should all keep the spears :D).

On that matter, I wonder how hard would it be to give them a new ranged attack animation where they throw the spears?
Probably pretty hard, because I can't remember any existing unit that does something like it... On the other hand...
(+ it wouldn't work with the current gameplay, the attack rate is too fast, and you would expect them to do more ranged damage then^^).
But if someone actually made that, oh boy I would be so happy :D

That would be very difficult

Well, coming back to this, I found myself wondering is it possible to change attack speed? Make the swords attack slower?

If not, maybe the change could still be made but with more balancing factors (so much for making this purely aesthetic).
With the spear-warlocks doing more damage per hit, what about giving sword-warlocks a better ranged attack with slightly more DPS, perhaps while also lowering the ranged DPS of the other warlocks (I sadly cannot see them ever throwing their spears in DoW2. Fingers crossed for DoW3 having that)
