Tank Targeting

Is it possible to make it so certain tanks autotarget vehicles like lascannons do? A Predator(any variant) autotargeting infantry over vehicles while moving can cost games.
Wasn't hold fire added exactly for this purpose? When dueling a tank will still waste it's shot if the enemy tank is temporarily out of range or ducked behind a shot blocker as soon as its cannon comes off cooldown.
COH2 has engage tanks only mode for this problem but it's probably not easy to mod into DOW2.
