Catachan and Shotgun Scouts indicator

Both this squads use the AoE indicator but according to the modules, at least what i could read, none of this dudes actually do aoe damage or splash damage. If this is true, is it possible to remove the aoe indicator from them to avoid confusion?

Even if they do not AoE damage the ability still can affect several units, thus the indicator is relevant.
