				I used to buy artificer for the lulz of planting mines everywhere. lead to some hilarious first engagement heretic and banshee wipes at times. 
but it scales rather poorly I find because later on in the game you don't really have the time to be planting mines down everywhere when the techmarine's time is better spent shooting stuff to death or repairing dreads.
I do like his axe very much, and I've had varying degrees of success with it. but generally it is a bit underwhelming as it has to compete with the awesome meltagun and plasma gun, or even his bolter for that matter

				Artificer scales very well IMO.  Those mines do nasty damage and you can use them to protect the flanks of your setup teams (you just need to keep your TM very busy).  Also, if I want to lock down a third of the map with my TM solo, I almost always pick artificer armor.  The mines completely shutdown melee other than AC tics, and the regen in green cover makes him a nightmare to dislodge.
In regards to the axe, I'm thinking that it's basically going to be one of those wargears where you need to play in such a manner that it forces your opponent to bring the fight to your TM... Meaning that I will probably need to have a healthy amount of snipers or a whirlwind or a pdev... something that really screams BUM RUSH!@!!!

				I did play one game with Don Chikkonka (or however you spell his name) where he fielded the warboss, and I felt that the mines did play a much better role in t1-t2. In t1 it pretty much nullified his capping sluggas altogether, where I could pretty much just leave 1 shotgun scout squad on guard duty at a vp and as soon as the sluggas ran over they would get bombed by the mine and my scouts could force them off.
it did work well in t2 when I managed to lure his truck into a mine that snared it and allowed my dread to lay the final smackdown on it.
Although towards the end it felt that it pretty much played no role in the bigger battles as the shootas were always on site ready to shoot up my mines, and between my techmarine taking care of my dread and trying to plasma gun nobs, he either didn't have the time nor the energy to continuously plant mines. at which point it probably would have been better for me to get signum or bionics to deal with the nobs. 
I'll quite happily get them against eldar because of the fact that it forces a ranger buy.

				Only time I wouldn't mind seeing rangers is if I'm apo. Those apo-asm + sanguine really tear up rangers, especially on a small map. Thing is without rangers though you can always just go infiltration on your combat scouts and that's often an easy wipe - the ASM jump into a timely grenade on the shuri. Rangers are a must. Even with dual shuris for apo ASM you want rangers as your fifth t1 squad. Kinetic pulse is too useful as is the LoS.

				Rangers make me glad I play IG.When I play 3v3 (I never play 1v1 lol) I always offer to laneswap with SM players when Eldar has a ton of rangers.Makes for some LOL moments "oh no you killed 3 of my guardsmen your bleeding me so hard"

Frags never were useless, they were great..
everything won't take down a sent easily, but rangers do high-burst damage..

Frags never were useless, they were great..

Yea now they are sweet I was talking about when the frags flew super slow.They got a speed buff awhile ago (I suck at remembering time) I think it was a few months ago

				Personally I think the sent frag missle buff as totally unjustified. Completely out of the blue when they were performing amazing as was. Frag missle sents are practically impossible to kill when microed properly in 1v1 without snipers. They're better than zoans and given that zoans are OP, yes that does say a lot. Keeping them alive till T2 isn't that great a task either...

				The sent missile launcher is a nightmare as Orkz now, shootas can't dodge the frags and everything in the Ork t1/t2 seems to get countered by them except tankbustas. What do people recommend for countering dual missile sents as Orkz?

				Mass waaagh + warpath = PUSH!!!!!!.  You will have increased resistance to damage, vastly increased move speed, and increased damage.  Just make sure to counter setup teams with flanking/disruption or catachans/spotters with proper spacing.  
Personally, I find orkz are doing really well against IG these days.

I find orks OP against ig, (expect wb) unless you're fighting an inquisitor who goes two gms two sents and drops a banewolf at your power farm in t2 :S

				As orks the best way to deal with sentinels in t1 is to lure them into a trap with infiltrated loota boyz. People really underestimate loota boyz. I personally think they are the best setup team in the game. Can infiltrate, have high burst damage, light infantry (it is a bonus), faster tear down time (the same devastators have), have insane AV damage and retain their usefullness even with the AV upgrade (can just hide near some points and cap it after your opponent steals it)

				I didn't read the whole thread but i (again) suggest that you have a look at the Mega Book Kit of the Knob.
This wargear does imo way too much for its price. it is 100/20 and it provides with +100 health + 100 energy + 0.1 energy regen AND the bomb buffs (stun bomb effect range, stikkbomb damage, booby traps halfed cooldown, Kaboom not knocking the Knob).
I feel like only the stat boosts would be worth more than 100/20 alone.

				Mega boom kit is a more powerful wargear than sneaky infiltration kit IMO. Would make sense for it to be 30 power and the sneaky kit 25.

				Dat KB with Kaboom always makes me laugh.I  enjoy seeing  1 or 2 random GM in the middle of nowhere going "what the hell"
On a related note can you still combo Kaboom and Over Der (or however you gits spell it)I remember people using kaboom then tossing him at a unit with WB then him landing on top of your units then Kaboom going off.It made it so you had almost 0 time to run the hell away as the setup for kaboom could be started then finish the second he landed
