				I did reinstal same problem.
Activation context generation failed for "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War II - Retribution\DOW2.exe". 				Find the Warnings.txt file at C:\Users\<user>\Documents\my games\dawn of war ii - retribution\Logfiles
Have you started Retribution before? Are you sure you installed to the same folder as your Retribution installation, and is there a folder there called Elite, as well as a file called ELITE.module?
Also, what operating system are you on?

I did play elite mod before, there is folder named Elite and file named Elite.module

Im not good with this either but, could this info help: ?
For OS check: Control Panel->System and Security->System ex: 

*Is your OS genuine/ do you have from time to time a blue screen popping up asking for activation key?
*Have you fiddled with .NET framework?
*Do you have .net 3,5 and 4.0 on? (i think dow2 requires/ uses 3.5, maybe).
