Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice, when i'm trying to start the game, it's crashing. Are they're any know issues or is there a step i'm missing during the instalation process that could be causing the crash?

You need 2.6.1 installed then 2.7 to update

You can check the game log for errors. Open this path in file explorer

Look for words like 'fail', or paste the log here if you need help. Usually when this is reported the mod is installed in the wrong path, this happens if you have a custom steamapps path such as on another drive. You have to specify the correct directory to the installer.

I've gone back and installed 2.6.1 using the full installer and then used the 2.7 full installer again and it's behaving the same. I checked the file Myrdal mentioned and the following error appears as the last entry.

FILESYSTEM -- filepath failure, missing alias 'data:config\onlineconfig\badwords.lua'

Perhaps it's related to the installation path of my game? due to space restrictions my steam library isn't installed on my C:\ drive.

I've managed to fix it, i assumed the Elitemod installed would auto detect my installation location and as the path is obscured (due to length of the path) during the installed, i'd missed it was installing on the C:\ drive rather than the one containing my Steam library. Changed the path and is all working, now to play some games!

Yes, you must give the installer the correct location of dow2 if it's not in the default steam directory on C:.
