Hey all, I was in a game the other day and I tried to use the WSE grav nades on a squad of Terminators, but it didn't work. I was just wondering if this is a bug or an intentional thing. Both option seem equally likely to me.

Anti-gravity grenade uses weapon knockback, so it won't work on terminators.

i thought they use ability but don't hit retreating units, similar to gravity blade? if not it would make sense.

So, is it intended to work differently?

Pretty sure in retail those did lift terminators, but it was changed in elite. Might be wrong.

I remember it worked on retreating units, which was just broken. But I also remember grav-blade not working on Terminators. Though I can't complain about that since I main FS.

This is why I was confused. Grav blade works on termies, but grav nades don't. I can see why nades wouldn't work on termies because obviously you can throw the grenades and not need to be adjacent to enemies, but in order for them to actually work you to need to be adjacent to enemies, otherwise it's really easy to dodge. It does seem to me to be equally likely to be a bug as an intentional part of the design.

If you throw a nade at a floating unit does it take the vertical distance into account when calculating damage? It seems like it but I thought it might be the 25% damage reduction.
edit the thread title suggests the WSE uses these to exhume corpses lolz

both grav blade and grav nades take into account vertical distance, plasma nades will miss for both if the units are too high

Interesting, both Levitation Field and Anti-Grav Grenade are listed as having weapon knockback in Codex, so they shouldn't work on termies.

Oops, I'll change it tomorrow. Levitation field has ability knockback.
